Ultimate Relay Challenge: The Ultimate Test of Strength and Teamwork

Get ready for the most exhilarating fitness event of the year! Train Station Gyms proudly presents the Ultimate Relay Challenge, taking place on 25 August 2024 at the Cricket Oval, Cozinha Restaurant, Midfields. This event is designed to push your limits, test your teamwork, and bring out the best in every participant.

Event Details:

  • Date: 25 August 2024
  • Time: 10:00 AM
  • Venue: Cricket Oval, Cozina Restaurant, Midfields

Team Composition and Entry:

  • Team Requirements: Each team should consist of 4 members (2 males and 2 females). Only 2 non-members are allowed per team.
  • Entry Fee for Non-Members: R250. Payments must be made at the reception or via EFT by Tuesday, 6th August.

Relay Challenge Format:

  • Team Check-In: Each team will receive a time slot. Be sure to arrive 10 minutes early, fully stretched and warmed up.
  • Competition Structure: Two teams will compete head-to-head in a relay format.
  • Timing: Total times for each team will be recorded to determine the winners.

Relay Exercises:

The relay consists of 16 exercises, with each team member required to complete 4 exercises. Strategic planning is crucial for assigning exercises to team members based on their strengths and ensuring adequate rest.

Preparation and Strategy:

Teams are responsible for setting up their equipment, such as adjusting the assault bike seat height, resistance on the rowing machine, and weights for each exercise. Strategic planning will be essential to ensure each team member’s strengths are maximized while allowing sufficient rest.

Important Dates:

  • Team Registration Deadline: Tuesday, 6th August
  • Exercise Allocation Submission: Wednesday, 21st August

Prize-Giving:

Prizes will be awarded once all teams have completed the relay. Stay tuned for exciting rewards and recognition for the top-performing teams.
