The gentle giant Johan is a knowledgeable, fully trained Biokineticist with a passion for health and fitness and now – a passion for anything and everything Train Station Gym Related. He specialises in rehabilitation and can guide clients through their fitness journey with knowledge and sound advice. It really is a bonus that he is such a nice approachable guy.
Biokineticist – I actually worked as one for 6,5 years. It’s very useful to incorporate my knowledge into my new role as manager.
I want to be a bit bigger but the most important thing for me is health – the combination between fitness and strength is key.
I focus more on preventing injuries and having good form – you need a good program to reach your goals. Good planning is very important. You have to work on your weaknesses as well, not just your strengths.
Food is very underrated. Many people train very hard and never achieve their goals because they don’t understand the importance of nutrition.
I’d like to monitor progress. Being on time is also very important, as well as celebrating the victories.
Rehabilitation.
Deadlifts, squats, bench press.
We have a wonderful team and a very positive atmosphere. All the staff are always walking around with a smile. It is a very friendly environment and I love working with a variety of different people. Everything works well – there are never issues.

Chante knows how to train individuals who need to know how to track and reach their own personal goals.
After being injured numerous times in college while studying dancing, she realized how important it is to work on not only stretching your muscles but strengthening them as well. She believes it is essential to find the type of training that you enjoy and what works best for you because everyone’s fitness journey is different and you need to embrace and enjoy your own journey without comparing it to anyone else’s.
Hard working and driven are two of many words to describe Udo, who is ready to share his excitement and love for fitness with the Midstream Community.

Kaylee’s passion for sports and performance guided her to pursue a career in sport science with a special interest in sports therapy and muscle recovery.
She feels the need to emphasize the importance of muscle recovery as it is often neglected by athletes which could lead to overtraining and injuries.
Her holistic approach to attaining your goals includes a strength and conditioning program, as well as muscle recovery techniques such as stretching and massaging.
If you’ve been neglecting your recovery and want to avoid injuries, she is your go-to girl!

Corné has been in the fitness industry for the past 20 years. Sport has been a passion and great part of his life. He has participated in various sports at a competitive level since school and therefore has an excellent understanding of multiple disciplines. He obtained SA colours and placed first at the South African Bodybuilding Championships as well as represented South Africa at the World Championships, placing within the top 15 and was awarded 3rd place. He also obtained SA colours in Powerlifting (South African Champ) and manged to get a 3rd place and 4th place at various World Championships. Corné also has his Mpumalanga Provincial colours in Rugby SADF U/21 and provincial colours in Cycling.
Corné believes in life is that anyone can achieve greater things in their journey by reaching and exceeding their goals if they have the right mindset. This is achieved by surrounding yourself with people who have a positive outlook towards life who have similar goals and a strong mindset towards what they want to achieve. Nothing comes easy in life, there is no quick fix. However with Corné’s years of experience he will be able to help you achieve your results by means of transfer of skill towards your exercise program, giving you faster results.
Pieter needs very little introduction. Synonymous to “the trainer who makes body transformation happen” he is the go-to guy for high impact, sweat provoking, never-give-up type of HIIT classes that transforms not only your body but also your outlook on training.
I would be a Psychologist
Long-term stress is not good for anyone, but acute stress, putting yourself through pain on purpose – is the way to build resilience. HIIT can work for anyone; there are no limitations physically, only in your mind.
HIIT Boxing Classes – I want to push you from your comfort zone – it is not about making you comfortable, it is about pushing yourself. There have been a lot of people in my classes that have not trained for a while, but you have to start somewhere.
My training deals with fear – it is important to face your fears. Training is hard but you can do it. Everybody needs to hit something every once in a while!
Don’t worry if you have not boxed before – technique will come with time
There are a few ways of looking at it – a lot of people are obsessed with how they look – they are so worried about how they look externally – the focus should not be on that. It is important to eat well, but you have to have balance. Fasting is good to have positive results, but I also love bread and potatoes!
We should move and use our bodies like children – this is why people hurt themselves. Ladies should not worry about heavier weights, it helps them to become leaner. I do a lot of body weight training, but also add in some weight training.
I think my work is not about myself and I really love people. I love to see people grow as a person and because it is so much more than a passion, it shines through when I work with clients.
I love going to dinner, and I love a good movie to catch up on sleep over the weekend. I love people and I need to recharge with people.
Sprints and pads with 30 second burpee’s at the end
Training is not just about outward physical benefit, it’s about the whole body.
Group training and community has become increasingly important after Lockdown. People are becoming very interested in getting together. People are supporting each other – I love seeing that human interaction.
From the moment you come into the gym, you feel that it is more of a passion than anything else. It is a great sense of working together.
Jabu is a professional boxer who has been boxing for 21 years. He wants to become a world champion boxer. He met Pieter Burger at the gym during a pad session. Pieter has worked with Jabu and taught him to really get to know himself and how to become the best version of himself.
Jabu and Linus are pad holders during Pieter’s HIIT classes, but are also available for private training sessions.
Linus is a pro-boxer originally from Namibia
As a child, a world champion boxer lived two streets away from his house. People would be shouting his name and Linus decided that one day, he wanted people to shout his name. Linus has been boxing professionally for 5 years.
Jabu and Linus are pad holders during Pieter’s HIIT classes, but are also available for private training sessions.
Sarah Jane uses her experience as a professional dancer to achieve long, strong, dancer bodies for her clients. She specializes in sculpting abs, and can be found in the Barre or Step class putting her clients through their paces.
Don’t compare yourself with anyone.
A balance of the two – but if I have to choose – bodies are made in the kitchen.
I keep things light hearted, I like to joke and make things not so serious so they forget about their pain
Sculpting those abs!
I would grab a skipping rope and skip for 10 minutes.
After stopping my career in dance – I wanted to continue using my body and maintaining a healthy body and mind.
